THINGS YOU SHOULD DO BEFORE 2021
2020 VS 2021
Like me, you probably expected a total package from 2020, especially due to the alignments in her name. 2020 my year of this…my year of that. Well if you’d ask me, it was totally a year for me. I thought I’d graduate from the university, I really thought that would be my greatest achievement this year, however, my greatest achievement is the fact that I am still breathing. What about you?
Fast forward to the time in the year where we all had to strictly stay home for almost a month; a time where everyone had a free lottery to get fat. Well, a good number of persons did while some didn’t; I did add beautiful weight.
This paragraph would be dedicated to you who have been trying to be strong but problems keep arising. The problems seem like a ball of onions. The more you unwrap, another surfaces. Did you lose a lot of money in this year? Did you lose someone so precious? Did you lose that golden opportunity and now, it’s quite painful, did you fall so sick in this year? Were you robbed and all your properties gone? Were you also locked in that box of struggling to find your space in this whole world? do you feel like you have lost that connection with your maker? You are probably almost teary, sorry I didn’t mean to bring up such emotions. But really, let it all out.
Now that 2020 is almost over you should let it all out; lock those emotions up. Just like 2020, you’d never witness them again. Sounds untrue but, the emotions and sense of self you take into the next year would determine how the rest of the year for you. I would not start telling you 2021 is your year of this or that. Every year marks a new phase for everyone, as long as they aren’t dead. So yeah, 2021 lies right in your palm.
Everyone in your life are important including the ones that seem useless to you. Go on a retreat. Retreat is a terminology used in war fronts when the army notice that their men are being taken down or injured. They scream retreat so they can leave the war front, go to their camp, rejuvenate and set out for battle again. Imagine what would happen without a retreat. 2021 is another battle in which you’d have to come out a conqueror, I’m not trying to scare you. Procrastination, laziness, may be the devils you have to fight. They are deadlier than you think tho.
Now that there is still time, retreat. Examine specific areas of your life. Emotionally: are there wounded hidden emotions, where does it hurt? Who hurt you? Is the person really worth the hurt? Remember that you should forgive not the person deserves it, but so you can move on and get better. Physically, what changes do you think you should improve on? Skincare products, getting a hair stretcher or drier, perfumes, new underwear, clippers, wigs, hair dye, etc. What habits do you want to rid off? Just take care of yourself.
Take care of you Spiritually. Examine yourself. two things, makes you grow; prayer and the word of God. You could also set up a prayer journal. For me, I am a Christian. Anytime I feel I have lost touch with God, life doesn’t make sense to me, things just do not seem right. How about you?
Take care of yourself Financially. This aspect is kind of critical. Don’t feel pressured, it is a gradual step. How much have I made this year? How did I spend this year? Did I invest well? How can I spend less than I earn?
What other area of your life do you think should be accessed? Get a Diary.
In conclusion, no long talks, take 2021 into your palm. It is your life. Define your year.
