COMPROMISE
COMPROMISE
Man naturally functions as carnality. Man is weak, Man is full of dirt and uncleanliness: but then there is a call unto holiness, a call unto divinity, a call unto perfection.
Collins dictionary defines compromise as a situation in which people accept something slightly different from what they really want, because of circumstances or because they are considering the wish of other people. In other words, if someone compromises his belief or himself, he has done something to damage his honesty or loyalty or high moral principles.
Those who are victims of compromise are those who are not rooted in the promises of the Father, those who have no understanding of their inheritance in Jesus, those who are ignorant of the principles guiding the path of righteousness.
At the beginning of salvation, obviously we accepted Christ and when we did, we agreed to bear His name and everything that comes with it. We were given a standard to live by and this has been backed up by various scriptures. For instance, Jesus admonished us in the book of Luke that; If we love Him, we should keep His commandments.
As believers, compromise is a state of letting go of our trust in God when we are faced with challenges, and holding unto the whisperings of the devil.
A state of compromise can erupt due to impatience, fear, and unbelief. Sarah could not wait, she calculated for God and so she neglected Gods settled words about her; she made Abraham sleep with Hagar, her maid. I just wonder what God would have thought while He watched her, My ways are not your ways neither are your thoughts mine.
A state where a believer comes to, where he calls the words of men true and he forgets all the promises of God that are getting ripened over him is termed Compromise. We are not to compromise; we are to come into the promise.
Whether you like it or not, every one of us in this fold will all necessarily pass through a state I call The Job state. There would be a point we will all get to in our walk with God, where He will place on demand, the things we cherish the most.
Father Abraham was at the verge of slaying Isaac because God demanded, Job held unto God; His house was demolished, his possessions burnt, all his children died, sickness inflicted him, still! He did not curse God and die, he did not com promise. Father Abraham and Job held on to God and it paid them! What are you compromising today due to impatience, unbelief, and fear?
For every action or step of compromise you take, you are not only endangering yourself. The souls that are attached to your destiny, the souls you are supposed to be a blessing to are also at risk (and we know how dear the souls of men are to The Father). Imagine how everything would have played out if Shedrach, Meshach and Abednego compromised their stands in God, what If they actually bowed down as commanded by king Nebuchadnezzar. Their refusal to compromise strengthened the fact that there is a GOD of gods, THE MOST HIGH
The Father seeks a man who will take a stand in Him irrespective of his/her circumstance just like Job.
How do you feel when someone gifts something to you, and then comes back in a few days to collect the gift especially if it happens to be something you've been longing for.
The Father has been longing for Man... A man who will give Him His life and Hive him daily without collecting it back at regular intervals. GAL 2:20 shows us a true life of worship; A MAN WHO HAS COME TO RECOGNISE THE SACRIFICE OF THE FATHER, A MAN WHO HAS COME TO RECOGNISE HIS LOVE AND IS WILLING TO DO ANYTHING FOR THE ONE WHO LOVED HOM FIRIST, A MAN WHO WILL BIRTH HIMSELF INTO THE REALITY OF THE MOST HIGH, THE SPIRITUAL MAN"
THE LORD seeks sincerity, not hypocrisy, a man who is willing to embrace the instructions of The Father. If Jesus had not come to depict this life of Holiness in God, then we would have said it is impossible. Never think it impossible to really die to yourself because, when He holds your hands, everything becomes possible. It is a gradual process.
Of a truth, it can seem so hard when he says don't eat, don't sleep, go and visit this person, wash your clothes first before sleeping, apologize to her, read two pages of that material before going for that class, apologize to him, etc.
Yielding and submission is killing carnality and embracing Spirituality. Jesus had every opportunity to neglect the cross and live His life.... but He had an UNDERSTANDING.... Who then am I not to pick up this cross and follow, GIVE ME UNDERSTANDING FATHER, THAT I MAY NOT COMPROMISE!
For every man, there's at least a Destiny attached. In one of the parables, we were told of how the Heavens rejoice over a lost soul that has been brought to salvation and how he will leave the 99 in pursuit of one.
Avoid joking with the souls he has placed in your hands. God will definitely raise another man to fill up your space as He did with David and Saul. May I not end up like Saul, may I not seek after the lust of this world, may I not seek after the longings of my soul. I can't fulfill this assignment without You Father, it seems to heavy, but then I remember that "when you hold my hands.... everything becomes possible" So hold my hands lover of my soul, that I may not compromise.
Compromise is a test for all believers, it is a depiction of the extent of your love for God and your trust in Him.
Till your ways are mine, till your thoughts are mine, till you look at me and see yourself, don't stop your dealings with me. The way you saw Jesus on that day and said "this is my son in whom I am well pleased" see me too! Let me be pleasing in your sight... Let me be beautiful for you to look upon. Bring me into intimacy, into the Glory birthed by Your presence, I will to stay in You Father, let nothing take me away from Your presence, don't give me anything that will take me away Jesus...
Help me come into your promise that I may not compromise.
